Idaho Fish and Game retreating from "Governor's Tag"

It appears those blockheads running Idaho Fish and Game are coming to realize that it would be a mistake to present Governor Butch Otter with his very own ceremonial--but also very much real--wolf tag so that he can realize his dream of being the first person to legally blow away a wolf when these animals are delisted.

Read more about the sordid affair on the WWP blog.

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service has set a press conference for 1:30 PM Eastern on Monday, and it is widely believed they will announce their decision to delist the wolf at this press conference. Governor Otter has stated that he hopes to kill about 550 of the estimated 650 wolves that live in Idaho.
