Wyoming got nearly everything it wanted. The federal Fish and Wildlife Service, which oversees the status of endangered species, got almost nothing. And wolves will lose out entirely. The state is obliged to keep only 100 of its 340 wolves alive, including 10 breeding pairs. The American public gets almost nothing too, except the opportunity to (once again) thank the livestock industry for depriving us of intact, resilient, and diverse ecosystems.
Moo.
